Arlene J. Sweedler died on July 4th, 2020, in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Due to the current pandemic situation, the service and burial will be private.

Arlene was born on May 22, 1931, the daughter of Clinton J. Mogle and Elizabeth A. (Bohemann) Mogle in rural Alden. She attended rural Sunnydale School east of Iowa Falls and Siloam school northwest of Iowa Falls. The family moved into Iowa Falls where she graduated from High School in 1949.

After working several years at Kepler Super Value, she met and married Kenneth L. Sweedler in September 1953. They lived and farmed in the Williams area until moving to the Scenic Living Center in Iowa Falls in 2018.

She was an active member of Williams United Methodist Church, Williams Area Development, and a member of the Thursday Tea Club for 66 years. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, and gardening. Arlene enjoyed cooking for friends and especially family.

Arlene is survived by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth; daughter Charlotte (Douglas) Moore of Wichita, KS; son Wesley (Cindi) Sweedler of Williams, IA; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Larry Mogle of Des Moines, IA; sister in-law, Virginia Mogle of Hammond, IN, and sister-in-law, Marlene Mogle of Des Moines IA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William and Fred; one sister, Mae Etta; and one nephew.
