Wayne Hertzog passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at the age of 86 years at the Regina General Hospital in Regina, SK. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Russell and Margaret Hertzog; brother Harold Hertzog; sister Florence Rederburg; sister-in-law Jean Hertzog; brother- in-law Howard Rederburg; and nieces Debbra Mitchell and Wendy Hertzog. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his companion of 30 years, Ruth Duncan and her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Wayne will also be deeply missed by his brother Roy Hertzog; sister-in-law Alice Hertzog; nephews, Denis, Steven (Pam), David (Leanne), Doug (Deann) and Robb (Caron); Debbra's husband Blair; nieces Brenda (Curtis) Issel, Theresa (James) deBoth, Michele Skwara (Gregg); as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Wayne's love of sports was evident throughout his lifetime. He was an avid curler and golfer. He watched many Saskatchewan Roughrider games. During his last few weeks while in hospital, Wayne was insistent that he needed to watch the Masters which his family ensured happened. Wayne's memory and detail for facts and figures was exceptional even when his physical health was failing. Wayne leaves a legacy of memories that his family and friends can cherish forever.
