SMITHLAND Iowa -- Loyal F "Coop" Kelly 70, of Sacramento, Calif; formerly of Smithland died Wednesday in a Sacramento hospital after a long illness.
Mr Kelly was born Dec 5 1915 in Wisconsin. At the age of two, he moved to Smithland with his parents. He was graduated from Smithland High School in 1934. He married Rosella Simonette of Mapleton in Sioux City on Nov 17, 1936.
Mr kelly lived and worked atMapleton untill moving to San Francicso, Calif., in 1941. Later he moved to Sacramento where he was empolyed bt Campbell Soup Co. for 30 years. He retired in 1976.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald of Santee, Calif., and Ronald of Sacramento; a brother Beryl R. Kelly of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Naumann Funeral Home in Sacramento. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery.
