Mr. Ziegler, 86, died Jan. 23, 2000, at his home in Colorado Springs after an extended illness. He was a mechanic and foreman with United, American and Continental Airlines and retired as lead mechanic from Continental Airlines in 1978 after 35 years.

Mr. Ziegler was born Feb. 10, 1913, in Cressona, Pa. He was married Nov. 9, 1935, to Wilmetta E. Oakley.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, John H. and David M.; a daughter, Joyce F. Sloan; two grandsons; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a grandson.

No services are planned. Inurnment will be at Bear Canyon Cemetery, Sedalia. Mission Crematory, 930 S. Hancock Ave., 475-2169, is handling arrangements.
