Obituary: Funeral for George C. Aschenbrenner, a retired carpenter who lived at 3025 NE 15th Ave., will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes, with vault entombment in Rose City Cemetery.
Mr. Aschenbrenner died Friday in a Portland nursing home. He was 82.
Born in Norka, Russia, on Dec. 8, 1891, Mr. Aschenbrenner moved to Portland in 1912.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Virginia Aschenbrenner, both of Portland; and sisters, Margaret Schwindt, Clay Center, Neb.; Elizabeth Glantz, Hastings, Neb., and Katherine Glantz, Harvard, Neb.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Ebeneezer Congregational Church Memorial Fund

George Conrad was the son of Christian and Elizabeth Giebelhaus Aschenbrenner of Norka, once a prosperous German community on the banks of the Volga River near Saratov.
