William Todd Gibson, 43, Hartford City, a Jay County native, died Sunday at his home.

Born to Bill and Tonya (McGahey) Gibson, he graduated from Jay County High School in 1981 and from Ivy Tech.

He was married on June 30, 2003, to Melissa Barr, who survives.

Employed at General Motors (Fisher Body) in Marion as a tool and die maker, he was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 298 in Redkey and Scottish Rite and Shrine in Fort Wayne.

Surviving besides his wife are a son, Chase Hunter Gibson, Big Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Dustee Leeann Gorman, San Antonio, Texas, Caitlin Nicole Gibson, Big Rapids, Mich., and Chelsea Tandalee Gibson, Hartford City; his parents Bill and Tonya Gibson, Portland; a brother, Rocky Gibson, Portland; two sisters, Beth Wehrly and Tammy Iliff, both of Portland; and a step-granddaughter.
