Employed at General Motors (Fisher Body) in Marion as a tool and die maker, he was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 298 in Redkey and Scottish Rite and Shrine in Fort Wayne.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Chase Hunter Gibson, Big Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Dustee Leeann Gorman, San Antonio, Texas, Caitlin Nicole Gibson, Big Rapids, Mich., and Chelsea Tandalee Gibson, Hartford City; his parents Bill and Tonya Gibson, Portland; a brother, Rocky Gibson, Portland; two sisters, Beth Wehrly and Tammy Iliff, both of Portland; and a step-granddaughter.
