RAVENSWOOD - John Michael Vegh, 75, of Ravenswood, Jackson County, died Dec. 21, 1998.
He was a former reduction worker for Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Ravens-wood.
Surviving: wife, Margaret "Mickey"; daughters, Jon Lee Hall of Tinley Park, Ill., Dolores Nickel of Posen, Ill.; brother, Andrew Vegh Jr. of Ravenswood; sisters, Helen Saplak, Edith Bowling and Lillian Phillips, all of Oak Hill; two grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Ravens-wood, with Monsignor Sylvester W. Staud officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, where there will be a prayer vigil service at 8 p.m.
