Anna Ruth Taylor, 96, of Windsor, Missouri, died Saturday morning, November 14, 2020, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia, Mo. She was born August 11, 1924, in Benton County, Mo., near Lincoln, the daughter of Christian Fredrick Wischmeier and Anna Margaret Rosina (Mehrens) Wischmeier. On August 3, 1941, she married Norman Oliver Taylor at the First United Methodist Church parsonage in Warsaw, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2011. Anna Ruth enjoyed a 62-year career at Windsor Furniture. She was a bookkeeper but helped the store in a variety of ways. She was a member of Keystone in Windsor and a long-time member of the Windsor United Methodist Church. She served on many boards of the church, played in the handbell choir, sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School and youth, and was a former Church Council President. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, taking care of her flowers, and fishing trips with Norman. She loved her dog, Sam. Survivors include a son, Norman Dale "Mike" Taylor (Sue), Windsor, Mo.; 2 granddaughters, Vicki Ferdig (Gary), Monett, Mo., and Becky Gallagher (Tim), Pleasant Hill, Mo.; 6 great-grandchildren, Brandon Himes, Austin Himes (Jacque), Blake Himes (Ashley), Taylor Ford (Chet), Shawn Gallagher, and Tristan Ferdig; 7 great-great-grandchildren, Matison, Landyn, Riley, Cameron, Andilyn, Oliver, and Loren and a great-great-grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Norman, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Cameron Himes in 2007; 2 brothers, Leonard Wischmeier and Henry Wischmeier; and a sister, Clara Marie McCandless. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the Windsor United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
