Services are to be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Salem officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Herr was born near Wishek, N.D. on Aug. 7, 1898. He married Alvina Meidinger in Aberdeen on Nov. 26, 1926. They lived at Ashley, N.D. until 1941, when they moved to Aberdeen. He was employed by Spaulding Auto until his retirement.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Ray, of Jamestown, N.D.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Berneice) Borchard, Mansfield, and Mrs. Jack (Dorothy) Cross, Greencastle. Ind; five brothers, Sam, of Butte, Mont.; Christ, of Jamestown, N.D.; Ted and Henry, both of Bismarck, N.D., and Ben. of rural Wishek, N.D.; five sisters, Mrs. Katie Hoff and Mrs. Lydia Bertsch, both of Wishek, N.D.; Mrs. Rose Grandbois, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Adeline Nickisch, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Ester Simmerman, Jamestown, N.D.; and nine grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Gates Funeral Home from Sunday noon until noon Monday. The casket will be open at the church from 1 p.m. until time oi service.
The family would prefer memorials.
