Jess Camp, 79, of Princeville died at his home yesterday afternoon.
Born March 14,1901, near here a son of Frank and Hattie Batchelor Camp, he married Lucile Carman July 6, 1925, in Princeville.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jess Jr. and Duane, both of Princeville; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Joe of Wyoming and Harry of Peoria; and one sister, Mrs. Ethel White of Wyoming. One granddaughter and two brothers preceded him in death.
He worked at WABCO in Peoria 30 years before retiring. He was a Princeville councilman eight years, a member of Masonic Lodge 360, AF&AM, Allendale Sports Club and Princeville United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 2 pm Friday in Bouton-Hammitt Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:30 pm tomorrow. Masonic services will be conducted at 8.
The Rev. Charles R. Wheeler will officiate and burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to his church or the American Cancer Society.
