She was proud of her Danish heritage and in 1987 she was able to visit some of her relatives in Denmark, a “dream come true”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thorkild Christensen and Laura Christensen; husband, Wilbur Sagendorf; brother, Leroy Christensen; sisters, Lucille Thompsen and twin Mabel Crooks. She is survived by her son, Wendell and JoAnn Sagendorf ; 3 daughters and son-in-laws, Karen and Dick Stewart, Sue and Paul Johnston., and Rene and Dean Hamilton.; 7 grandchildren, Laura and Jarot Karcher, Tony and Sandy Tupper, Shane and Mindy Tupper, Hannah and Jeremy Heis, Aaron and Christie Johnston, Sarah and Brian Cooper, and John Hamilton and 18 great- grandchildren; one sister, Ardith Lavender and one sister-in-law Dorita Sagendorf; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many in Denmark.
