76, of Fairview Park, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home March 3, 2021. Kathy was born June 7, 1944 in Honolulu HI where her father worked on the rebuilding of Pearl Harbor. The daughter of Elmer and Lillian Wells, Kathy grew up in Rockford IL. She graduated from Bradley University with a degree in economics and later built a financial planning business, Ronayne Financial Services, in Westlake where she served hundreds of clients as a Certified Financial Planner for over 35 years. Married to her beloved husband Leonard J. Dona and formerly to the late James P. Ronayne, Kathy was the sister of Kristine Wells and Cindy Selling of Illinois and mother of sons Christopher (Natalie), Michael (Bridget), four stepdaughters Arlene, Diane (Charles), Theresa (James), Christine (William), and her late stepson John (Ernestine). She was a proud aunt and the beloved grandmother of ten grandchildren. She enjoyed introducing her family to her Swedish heritage and cooking alongside her husband Lenny's Italian culinary creations. She loved making memories with her grandkids, having picnics in the park, reading, investing in the stock market, traveling, going to hockey games and celebrating "Fantastic Fridays" after school. Kathy was an active member of the Old Stone Church and a board member of the First Presbyterian Society in Cleveland. For the 2020 bicentennial celebration, Kathy authored a series of children's stories about the 200-year history of the church. Kathy is grateful to her caregivers for giving her more quality time in life to enjoy and explore. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Cleveland Metroparks Centennial Forests Fund, or Kathy might just encourage you to plant a butterfly garden. A private burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery where you can find her by the pond. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held this summer.
