ROCKTON - Frederick John Mezger, 57, of 713 Center st., died at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday in Beloit hospital.
Mr. Mezger was born on Dec. 16, 1903, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He married Ruth Cadman July 4, 1942, in Fairbanks, Alaska. For 15 years he worked as an expediter for Besly-Wells Corp. Mr. Mezger attended the Rockton Methodist church and was a member of the Masonic lodge.
Surviving are his wife; a son, David of Rockton; three daughters, Gloria, Lois, and Bonnie Jo; and his mother, Mrs. C.J. Woofter of Fairbanks. He was predeceased by his father and a brother.
Services will be held in the Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer chapel at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Hilliard Howard officiating. Burial will be in Rockton cemetery where Masonic rites will be held. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
