Mrs. Clair Greig, 72, of 2316 S. 11th St, died early today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
The former Amalia Grafenstein, she was born in Russia on Nov. 30, 1907, daughter of the late Adam and Emily Kraemer Grafenstein. She came to Sheboygan as a child with her family and attended St. Paul Lutheran School and the Sheboygan Vocational School.
On May 2,. 1929, she and Clair Grelg were married at St Paul Lutheran Church. The couple farmed In the Waldo area until 1945, when they moved to the Eagle River area, where they operated Duck Lake Resort They resided at Pickerel, near Antigo, for six years, returning to Sheboygan in 1976.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, its senior citizens group and was a charter member of the Lutheran Chorus.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. William (Florence) Siegler of Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Gary (Eileen) Wightman of Kohler and Mrs. Robert (Diane) Denison of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother, Adam Grafenstein, and one sister, Mrs. Arthur Rosenthal, both of Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by two daughters.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ramm-Zlegler Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Redeker, pastor of Our Savior Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Fri-day and until the time of services Saturday.
