Barbara Jean Brockington was born March 3, 1952 in Lake Wales, Fl to Wincy G. Brockington and the late McKenzie C. Brockington. Barbara was a graduate of the former Campbell Sr. High School and received a B.A degree in Social and Human Services from Bethune-Cookman College (now University). She was employed with HRS for approximately 30 years before retiring due to health issues. Barbara was a member of Mt. Bethel where she sang in the choir, served on the Deaconess Ministry and the Homeless Feeding Ministry.
She is survived by 2 sons: Bernard L. Small and Rev. Wayne L. Small (Shelly); her mother: Wincy G. Brockington; siblings: McKenzie Brockington, Jr., Peggy, Cynthia and Lloyd Brockington; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
