Son of Torer Jensen and Marte Iversdatter. Full name was Sven Andreas Torersen (or Thorersen) in Norway, went by Andrew T. Teig in America.

Death of Andrew Teig

Andrew T. Teig was born Feb. 25, 1839, in Enebakneset, Norway. He was married in the fall of 1873 to Andrine Logn. Mr. and Mrs. Teig and family came to America in the summer of 1881. He bought land in section 10, Heron Lake township, five and a half miles northeast of Lakefield, where he lived until his death which occurred Feb. 2, 1913. He leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters to mourn the loss of a good husband and father, also two brothers and a sister in Norway. The children are, Tom and Louie, Mattie and Anna all at home. Mr. Teig had been unable to do manual labor for about twenty-four years, but he bore his affliction patiently and the family patiently bore with him. The funeral was held from the home and was conducted by Rev. Holm, of the Norwegian Lutheran church of Christiania township.
