Mrs. Marie Hertzfeldt, 64, of rural Ettrick died Wednesday, August 15 at her home after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 15, 1914 in Independence to Henry and Julia (Bunker) Kurth. She married Clarence Hertzfeldt Feb. 16, 1932. He died in 1976.
Survivors are 5 sons, Clarence Jr. , David, Duane, Donald, and Larry, four daughters Mrs. Joyce Stevens, Mrs. Marie Bronsky, Mrs. Darlene Paar and Mrs. Jerome (Sharon) Kamrowski, 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one brother George Kurth, and three sisters, Lillian Cornwell, Florence Ryan, and Laura Iverson.
Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by one son and one sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Smith Mortuary in Melrose, with the Rev. Neal Taylor of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in La Crosse officiating. Burial will be on the home farm in Ettrick.
Friends may call at the Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m. until time of services.
