Rogene's kindness was reflected in her warm smile and bright eyes. Her laughter was infectious. She dedicated her life to her family. Her passion for helping others could be seen in her volunteer years with the school PTA, the Cub Scouts and CASA. Rogene's career path took her through sales at the Hallmark store in Ottawa, the lunch room at McKinley School and ten years at Farm & Fleet. She retired in 2002 and spent years traveling with her husband throughout the US. In her spare time Ro enjoyed cooking, creating craft projects, making a honey-do list for Mike and researching family genealogy.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael; two sons, Michael Gene of Phoenix, AZ and Robert John (Michelle) of Carterville, IL; grandchildren, Amanda, John & Jordan of Carterville, IL; and brother, Robert (Margo) Littlehale of Fairfield, VA. Rogene shared a special bond with her brother- and sister-in-law, Patrick & Mary Jean Weihman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
