ESTATE IS SUED FOR ALIMONY. WOMAN, WHO REMARRIED, CLAIMS SHE WAS NOT PAID OVER A PERIOD OF 22 YEARS.
An unusual suit was filed Friday in Campbell Circuit Court by Mrs Elizbeth Hug Tedrow, Newport, divorced wife of the late John Hug, in which she seeks $2288.00 from heirs of John Hug. The amount is alleged due as back alimony which the deceased failed to pay. The suit is directed against John Hug Jr, 826 Saratoga St, Newport, executor of the estate of his father, & Kate Smith & Mamie Faust, children of the deceased. Mrs Tedrow, who remarried, after divorcing Hug, charges that she obtained a divorce from John Hug, June 21,1905 & Hug was ordered to pay $2 a week alimony. The plaintiff charges Hug since June 21, 1905, until the time of his death, July 23, 1927, failed to pay her alimony. The three defendants, it is charged, were bequeathed the bulk of Hug's estate, while four other children were given $15 each. Mrs Tedrow charges Hug, the executor of the estate, has refused her claim & has threatened to dispose of the estate. Mrs Tedrow seeks $2288 with interest & a lien on the defendant's property. She asks that the settlement of the estate be referred to John Kehm, Master Commissioner. The plaintiff is represented by John W Heuver, attorney. Published 9-7-1927 Ky Post.
