William Frank Buster (Bus) Jack, 59 years old, Highway 64-71, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Tuesday night, February 28, 1967 in a local hospital following a long illness. He had been in poor health for 14 years from an enlarged heart and emphysema. He was born January 22, 1908 in Van Buren, Arkansas and was a lifelong resident of this county where he was a partner in the Jack Motor company. His father, Frank Jack died in 1946 and his mother, Mary E. Shoop Jack, died in 1945. He attended the Presbyterian Church in Van Buren.


Survivors are his wife, Rena; a son; a brother; two sisters, Irene and Ruth; and two grandchildren.


Funeral service was held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Edwards Funeral Home chapel with Rupert Pixley officiating. Burial was in Gill Cemetery.


This is the second sorrow in the family in the past two weeks. The son-in-law of Mrs. Irene Meier died at Pine Bluff on February 23, 1967. He was Larry Shamblin, terminal manager of Arkansas Best Freight Lines at Pine Bluff, and a former resident of Fort Smith, Arkansas.


Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral of Mr. Jack were the grandchildren, Rickie, Marshella, Foster, Jack's daughter Marilyn, and Jo. She is the daughter of Ruth who was unable to attend the funeral because of poor health.
