Robert (Bob) Schreiner, Sr.

Robert (Bob) William Schreiner, Sr passed away at the age of 92. Bob was born in Wellington, Colorado and raised on farms. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1946. He moved to California in 1949 to work at United Airlines in Data Processing where he met Lois Clark. They were married November 11, 1950 and then served in the Army 1950-52. Bob and Lois settled in Santa Clara in 1955 where they raised 3 children. He worked at FMC, Fairchild Electronics and attended Santa Clara University part time. Dad became a self-employed drywall contractor from which he ultimately retired after 20 years. Bob loved his family, fishing, woodworking, camping, hunting, taking his family water skiing, visiting in his garage, expressing definite opinions and giving suckers to his great-grandchildren. He is survived by daughters Jan Alford (Mike), Jill Kimzey (Don) and son Robert (Bobby) Schreiner, Jr, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, grandson Robert (Robby) Schreiner III, his Russian-born parents of German ancestry, Jacob Schreiner and Elizabeth (Rodenberger) Schreiner, siblings: George, Leon, Gene, Jack and Ruth. Dad was loved and will be missed.
