Florence Mae "Tootie" Weed, 68, of New Alexandria, died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at her residence.
Born June 26, 1939 in Braddock, she was a daughter of the late George and Laura (Cramer) Waibel.
Tootie was a retired employee of Torrance State Hospital. She attended Middletown Methodist Church in Greensburg. She enjoyed various crafts and hobbies during her retirement, but spending time with her family and grandchildren was her favorite way to spend her days.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, David Lee Waibel and Carl Otto Waibel, and a sister, Bertha Ann Kottelich.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband and soul mate of 48 years, Charles Weed; their five children, Lee and Annette Weed of Friendswoods, Texas; Kim and Bob Bonar of Latrobe, Tammy and Bill Oskey of New Alexandria, Randy Weed of Murrysville and Carrie and Randy Breakiron of Connellsville; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and her siblings, George and Ruth Waibel of Coolville, Ohio, Norbert Waibel of Sebring, Fla., Eddie and Tom King of Lake Placid, Fla., Paul "Pooch" and Rose Waibel of Pitcairn and Jack Waibel of Export.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in P. David Newhouse Funeral Home, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria.
Visitation will continue 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Middletown Methodist Church, 1050 Middletown Road, Greensburg, with the Rev. Kenneth Bossart officiating.
Everyone go directly to the church.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, New Alexandria.
