Crystal Holbein, 81, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, in Oakwood Health & Rehab Center. She was born on August 12, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Albert Holbein and Mary Jane Davis Holbein. She was also preceded in death by a son, Leroy Legg and a daughter, Mary Michael. She was a retired Nurses aide. She is survived by her significant other, Betty Midkiff Conner; two daughters, Cynthia Nelson of Naples, Fla., Evelyn Ferguson of Denver, Colo.; a son, Henry nelson and wife, Christy, of Lynchburg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved dearly. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Humane Society of Halifax County, P.O. Box 969, South Boston, Va 24592. There will be no services and arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service Bedford.
