HAMLET -- Services for Mrs. Anna Hardesty, 93, of Rt. 1, who died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth following a 3 1/2 year illness, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Rev. Johnathan Gosser, pastor of the Hamlet United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 13, 1888, in Chicago and lived most of her life in the Hamlet area. On Feb. 26, 1921, in Hamlet, she was married to Raymond E. Hardesty, who died July 30, 1976. Survivors include two sons, James R. of Hamlet, Donald C. of Findlay, Ohio, and three grandchildren. She attended the Methodist Church where she was a member of the Philathea Class. She also was a member of the Country Home Improvement Extension Homemakers Club of Hamlet.
