Elizabeth Edna Reed passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009. She was born February 7, 1920 in Dominguez, Calif., daughter of Charles and Josephine Eilers. Elizabeth graduated from Compton High School in 1938. She then attended Compton Jr. College and studied dress design and business. After working as a beauty operator at a beauty school in Belmont Shore, she found her real passion and opened her own beauty shop in Dominguez, retiring in 1955 in order to raise her family. She met her husband, Lowell, in 1949, and they married in 1952. Their only child, Celeste, was born in 1956. They resided in Long Beach until 1975, and then relocated to Fallbrook, Calif., and have remained there for the past 34 years. They celebrated 57 years of marriage on September 26, 2009. Elizabeth was the youngest of five children: three brothers and one sister, all who preceded her in death.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Lowell; daughter, Celeste and son-in -law, Mark; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, all of Fallbrook; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 5, at Fallbrook United Methodist Church, Fallbrook. She made the decision many years ago to donate her body to UCSD Medical Center upon death.

Services on Friday, September 3 2021 at 11:30 am at Riverside National Cemetery.
