DAVID MIELKE

David E. Mielke, 52, of 11097 E. Monroe Kd., Giadwin, died Friday, Dec. 21, 1990, at his home after a long illness. Born in Arthur Township, Nov. 28, 1938, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Mielke was a driver for Short Freight Line and farmed. He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church and had been under the care of Hospice of Gladwin County.

Mr. Mielke and the former Elizabeth Bauer were married Oct. 18, 1958, in Clare County. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son. Alan of Giadwin; 2 daughters, Mrs. John (Lorie) Coates of Arlington Hts., Ill. and Cindy of Gladwin; his father. Oswald Mielke of Gladwin; one brother, Larry of Gladwin; a sister. Mrs. Lois Garver of Cadillac; and 2 grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Christ The King Lutheran Church. The Rev. Roger Hardy officiated and burial was in the Grout Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church "buildings fund or the Hospice of Gladwin County. Gladwin County Record dated 12-26/1990 Column – 3 Page – 2.
