Marjorie Ellen (Lenhardt) Lackman was born September 18, 1933, the youngest of five children born to Adolph and Emma Lenhardt. Marjorie passed away of natural causes on September 12, 2018.

She was raised on a farm on 72nd St. West. She attended Elder Grove School Lincoln Junior High and graduated from Billings Senior High School.

She worked at Billings Hardware Wholesale as a secretary and in 1952 she married William C. Lackman and continued the farm life she loved so much. Marge and Bill were blessed with two sons, Steve and Daniel. She enjoyed belonging to different organization during her early married years. She belonged to the Shiloh Homemaker Extension Club and the Ladies Aid at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Louise Torrance Circle at First Congregational Church and finally in her later years she enjoyed the Pillars Group at Faith Chapel. She contributed time helping to elect candidates of her choice for political office. She belonged to Yellowstone Cattle-Women and served as President and then later as a State District Director. These jobs took her to conventions and district meetings around the state.

Marge loved to entertain friends and relatives with big gatherings at her home. She especially loved cooking elaborate meals for harvest crews and holiday family dinners. She loved raising a big garden and many beautiful flowers. She was proud of her two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She enjoyed traveling and seeing other countries with her friends. The highlight of her travels was visiting the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem where Jesus was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Daniel, an infant sister Marie, sister Marion and husband Art Steinmetz, her brother Robert Lenhardt and wife Elsa Mae.

She is survived by her husband William, son Steven and his wife Pam, daughter-in-law Valerie, grandson Luke (Danielle), granddaughter Stephanie (Jake) Wright, four great grandchildren; Austin, Colt, Reece and Grace. Marge is also survived by her brother Edward (Muriel) Lenhardt and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 18th at Faith Chapel North Side, Billings, Montana.
