FOREST GROVE -- A celebration of his life will be Friday at 10 a.m. for Jimmy Lyle Kresin, 56, Forest Grove.
Mr. Kresin died May 19, 2003, at his home.
The Friday services will be at Fuiten, Rose and Hoyt Funeral Home, 2308 Pacific Ave., with Dan Park officiating.
Interment will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland.
Mr. Kresin was born Dec. 16, 1946, in Beloit, Kan., a son of Lyle and Betty Ireland Kresin. He was raised and educated in Glen Elder, Kan., and following high school he moved to the Forest Grove area.
Mr. Kresin served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969 and held the rank of electrician's mate 3rd class at the time of his discharge.
He worked as a refrigeration/heating service technician at the Hillsboro School District for many years.
Mr. Kresin was a member of Hillsboro Moose Lodge 247 and Cornelius Eagles Aerie 4177.
He enjoyed the water and activities on the water, such as boating, fishing and kayaking. He also enjoyed camping.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin J. Kresin, Forest Grove, and J.L. Jahn, of Illinois; a step-son, Dennis Kresin, Gaston; a brother and sister-in-law, D. Chris and Teresa Kresin, Salem; and a niece, Kelita Jean, Salem.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jimmy L. Kresin Memorial Fund, in care of Kevin Kresin, 1824 Cedar St., Forest Grove, OR 97116.
