Drummer. He was an American drummer for Elvis Presley. He was a native Texan and was involved in music for a large part of his childhood before turning professional. He was one of the original members of the Elvis Presley touring band that went by the name of TCB Band or "Taking Care of Business" that formed in 1969. Other original members included James Burton (lead guitar), Jerry Scheff (bass), John Wilkinson (rhythm guitar) and Larry Muhoberac (keyboards). TCB first appeared with Elvis in Las Vegas at the International Hotel on July 31, 1969. He played with TCB from the beginning in August of 1969 until Elvis passed away in 1977. He has also played with the band at the 1979, 1981, 1987, and 1997 reunion. Till this day, the band continues to tour and record new and old music. Besides Elvis, he also played for the Carpenters, Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond and Jerry Garcia. He died at home in Franklin, Tennessee of natural causes.
