Mrs. Carrie Christina Ripberger died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday at her home at 415 East Jefferson street after being ill 10 weeks with a heart ailment. She was 67 years old.
Last rites for Mrs. Ripberger will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's church by Rev. Jerome Walski. Burial will follow in St. John's cemetery. rosary services will be conducted at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at Young's Funeral home, were the body is lying in state.
A native of Tipton county, Mrs. Ripberger was born February 17, 1877, to Henry and Anna (Shuck) Metzler. Her marriage to Edward Ripberger occurred Jan. 9, 1907 in Tipton.
Mrs. Ripberger received her education at South Union school in Tipton county. She was a member of St. John's church and Rosary society. Her husband died of a result of an automobile accident on Oct. 2, 1939.
Survivors include two sons, Paul and Bernard, of Tipton; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Hoban, Waldron, and Mrs. Kathryn Gillespie, Kokomo; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
