BRUNSWICK - Helen M. Cheyney, 88, of Plainview died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Plainview Area Health Systems. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Congregational Church in Brunswick with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton.

Helen Marie Cheyney, was born March 14, 1919, to Clair and Jennie (Sholes) Schroth in Middle Branch. She graduated from Neligh High School with the class of 1936. On Feb. 2, 1938, she was married to Delton Cheyney at O'Neill. Three children were born to them, Merle, Liane and Donn.
Helen was a member of the Congregational Church in Brunswick.
Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Merle and Carla Cheyney of Stanton, and Donn and Linda Cheyney of Brunswick; her daughter, Liane Hall of Great Falls, Mont; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Clair Schroth and his wife, Lorraine, of Neligh; and nephew, Larry Schroth and his wife, Sandy, of Brunswick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delton; and a sister, Hazel Schroth.
