She was 70 and a native of Wadesboro. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Toney Johnson and the Rev. Dennis Johnson. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survived by husband, Floyd Lee McLain Sr.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Eugenia and Johnny Mathis, Wanda and Richard Stout, and Carolyn and Shelby Achord Sr.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd Jr. and Barbara McLain and Kenneth and Kelly McLain; a sister, Katherine Freeman; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Samuel Freeman and Estelle Bankston; an infant son; a great-granddaughter, Kayla Mathis; and a sister, Madelyn Crockett. She was a minister in The Church of God, Denham Springs.
