Stella Harland
Dies at 90
Long-time Latah County and Moscow resident Stella E. Harland died Tuesday morning at Gritman Memorial Hospital at age 90.
Born Stella Buckbee Feb. 22, 1888 at Carthage, Mo., Mrs. Harland moved to Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston Normal School in 1911. She taught school near Troy on American Ridge for two years, and farmed with her husband, Raymond, six miles south of Troy until moving to Moscow in 1942.
Her husband preceded her in death Aug 16, 1963.
Survivors include three daughters, Eleanor Blume of Genesee, Mary Brayton of Spokane and Doris Fry of Lewiston; one son, Ray Harland, Jr. of Escondido, Calif.; one sister, Bertha Jacobson of Vancouver, B.C. nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Two sons also preceded her in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at Moscow cemetery ....
