Obituary
Malinda Anne Drew
January 21, 1958 – January 3, 2022

Malinda Anne Drew, 63, passed away in Thermopolis on January 3, 2022.
Malinda was born on January 21, 1958, in Fromberg, Montana to Benjamin Russell and Edna May (Unken) Reifer. She grew up on the family farm, learning at a young age the value of hard work. Following graduation, she enlisted in the United States Army in the medical field. She became an operating room technician. This is where she gained her life-long ability to care for others. Later in her life, she became a CNA. Her best gift was that of being a teacher, not in the field of education, but teaching those she was around. If there was something she had that could help someone else, it became theirs.
She was blessed to be the mother of seven children, but she knew that she lacked the means to give them a good life, so she gave them the chance to have more than she could offer.
Malinda married Charles Edward Drew on December 9, 2008, in Wichita, Kansas. The couple moved to Thermopolis a couple years ago and have enjoyed the community and their church family immensely. She was an ever-loving wife. Malinda also enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. She found very useful things at garage sales and thrift stores.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Scott McMurray, stillborn baby brother and three grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Charles; children: Benjamin, Dennis, Matt, Danial, Velma and Amanda; brothers: Karl Reifer, Kim (Jeane) Reifer and Joe Reifer and 13 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Riverside Cemetery in Thermopolis, Wyoming with Pastor Joe Moon officiating. Military Honors provided by US Army and VFW Post #2281.
