Richard S. Boemer, 78, president of the R. S. Boemer Co., a hide brokerage firm, died Monday after a heart attack at the home of a brother in St. Paul, Minn.
Mr. Boemer was born in Milwaukee and had been associated with the leather trade for many years. Before starting his own company in 1920 he was a buyer for the old Pfister & Vogel Co.
He was a member of St. Robert's parish and the Milwaukee Athletic club.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Helen B. Daly, Miss Margaret V. Boemer, Miss Irene M. Boemer and Mrs. Adelaide A. Behling; three sons, Richard H., Paul G. and Edward J., all of Milwaukee; three sisters, Sister Mary Irene, O.S.F., Milwaukee, and Mrs. Cecilla Hesler and Mrs. Anna Wilkinson, both of Chicago, and two brothers, Herman J., Milwaukee, and John H., St. Paul.
Services will be held at Mr. Boemer's home, 4604 N. Murray av., at 9:30 a.m. Friday and at St. Robert's church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.
