MILL CREEK -- Funeral services for Bertha Lee Crenshaw Taylor, 91, Vamoosa, formerly of Mill Creek, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mill Creek Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Wehrli officiating. Burial will follow at Troy Cemetery.

Bertha passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at son, Bob and Peggy Taylor's home near Vamoosa, Okla. She was born to Thomas Arthur and Lela Belle Black Crenshaw on March 26, 1907, at Troy, Okla., in Johnston County.

She lived near Troy until after she met and married Raymond John Taylor on Dec. 4. 1928, at Rev. John Brock's house. She and her husband lived in Ada and Troy until about 1947. They then moved to Mill Creek where all their children graduated from high school. Bertha and Raymond enjoyed more than 51 years of marriage before his death May 18, 1980. She later moved to Vamoosa to live near Bob and Peggy.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Drs. Raymond John and Constance Taylor of Durant, Bob and Peggy Taylor of Vamoosa, Tom and Agnes Taylor of Allen; one daughter and her husband, Betty and Lathon Johnson of Oklahoma City; son-in-law and his wife, James and Jodie Bray of Levelland, Texas; two sisters, Marie Miller of Apple Valley, Calif., and Lois and Harold Johnson of Sulphur; brother-in-law, Ed Draper of Oklahoma City; a sister-in-law and her husband, Evelyn and Chester Steele of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Bertha was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Taylor; a daughter, Toloah Frances Taylor Bray; a brother, T.C. Crenshaw; sisters, Lorabell Crenshaw Ozment, Edith Mae Crenshaw Lee, Esta Fae Crenshaw Draper; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Bearers are Ray Dennis, Danny Engebretsen, Nathan Johnson, Jerry Taylor, Monte Taylor, Joe Taylor, David Taylor, Shawn Taylor, Chris Taylor, Brandon Taylor and Brian Taylor.

Clark Funeral Service, Tishomingo, will direct services.
