Eleanor was the secretary to the superintendent of schools for Gallup McKinley County for 30 years before her retirement.
Eleanor enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, traveling and being with her grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her sons, William E. Dzick of Mason City, IA and Walter A. Dzick of Elko, NV and five grandchildren.
Eleanor was preceded in death by husband, Walter E. Dzick, parents, Anton Abraska and Frieda Abraska, brothers, Max, Paul and Otto and sisters, Marty, Claire, Helen, Edna and Ruth.
Funeral Mass for Eleanor will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will be Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Rollie Mortuary. Pallbearers will be William Dzick, Walter Dzick, Tom Butler and Don Holland.
The family will receive relatives and friends after the rosary service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
