March 18, 1928 March 12, 2022 Alvin Leibold, a longtime resident of Birmingham, died March 12, 2022.
He was 93 years old. Al was born March 18, 1928, in Monroe, Michigan to Leo and Agnes Leibold.
After serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, Al attended the University of Toledo and moved to Detroit in 1955.
He joined General Motors in 1960 and retired in 1990 after 30 years of service as a Project Manager in GM's Architectural, Engineering & Construction Group (Argonaut).
He was also a charter member of St. Alan's Parish, which was founded in 1966,
a student of military history, and an avid golfer. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by all.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sheila,
he is survived by his sons,
Mark ( Jacki) and
Ross (Michelle) Leibold,
brother-inlaw,
Ray Kneeshaw, and nephews,
Robert and Dan Kneeshaw.
Services have been held and burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maybee.
