Kay married Ted Jueneman on April 19, 1955. The couple made their home in Worthington. Kay worked as a waitress for many years at Fred's Café in Worthington. She was a hard working woman and took very good care of her family. Kay was well liked by customers of the café.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. Kay enjoyed cooking, traveling, raising her children and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was also known to be a secret money launderer.
Kay is survived by her five children, Gary (Terri) Jueneman, Worthington; Dan (Maria) Jueneman, Broomfield, CO; Deb (Wayne) Poss, Sibley, IA; Brenda (fiancee, Rich Bolluyt) Voss, Worthington; and Bob Jueneman, Arvada, CO;. seven grandchildren, Travis (Kristie) Jueneman, Kayla (Zac) Schmitz, Jacob (Abby) Scheidt, Jay (Molly) Scheidt, Michael (Molly) Voss, Victoria (Skyler) Kingry and Deborah Jueneman; thirteen great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kaitlyn, Jack, Lauren, Amelia, Della, Milo, Savvy, Teddy, Jordy, Morgan, Mason and Ayla; two sisters, Dorothy (Sr. M. Francine OSF) Austin; and Marie Vortherms, Wilmont; a brother, Richard (Carol) Balster, Wilmont; a brother-in-law, Whitey (Marlene) Jueneman, Wilmont; and a sister-in-law, Ivy Balster, Ft. Dodge, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted in 2002; daughter, Pat in 2016; granddaughter, Cassie Jueneman in 2003; two brothers, Franklin "Red" (Darlene) Balster and Robert "Bob" Balster; and a brother-in-law, Joe Vortherms.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, with parish prayers at 8 pm. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. James Callahan and Deacon Vern Behrends. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in Worthington.
