Mary Theresa Osborne Ballard, 89, longtime resident of Nelson County near Holy Cross, passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 6, 2008, at Hospice & Pallative Care of Louisville's In-Patient Unit at Norton Medical Pavilion.
Mrs. Ballard was born Nov. 22, 1918 in Washington County, Ky., near Maker's Mark Distillery, to the late Henry Parker Osborne and Mary Frances Della (Mudd) Osborne. She was a 1937 graduate of Saint Augustine High School at Lebanon, Ky., and a long time member of Holy Cross Church at Holy Cross, Ky. Mrs. Ballard was bookkeeper for her husband's farming and lumber business for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fabian Paschal Ballard, in 1988, and her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Ballard, in 1962.
Mrs. Ballard is survived by her 11 children: J.
