Amanda Schultz, 88, formerly of 602 S. Huron St., DePere, died Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 22, in a Green Bay hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Hope Lutheran Church, DePere. The Rev. Carl P. Ehrfurth will officiate and burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Maribel.
Mrs. Schultz, nee Amanda Salzsieder, was born Jan. 18, 1891, in the Town of Montpelier, daughter of the late Wilhelm and Bertha Plautz Salzsieder. She was married to Karl Schultz June 5, 1913, in the Town of Montpelier. They resided there until 1949, and since then in DePere. He preceded her in death in 1937. Mrs. Schultz was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild of the church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Othmer (Anita) Gruetzmacher of Route 3, Luxemburg, Mrs. Leland (Adeline) Fels of Route 1, DePere, andd Mrs. Carl (Verna) Schmidt of DePere; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carol Schultz of Route 1, Maribel; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; two foster grandchildren and three foster great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Marvin May 25, 1978, four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call in Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark, after 3 p.m. Friday and at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
