Elizabeth J. "Betty" Dispennett, 91, of Chillicothe,Ohio, passed away 10 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a long illness.

She was born February 15, 1916 at Stoy, Ill., to the late John and Lenora Hiller Boyd. She is survived by her husband Robert W. Dispennett, whom she married on July 17, 1976.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Hamilton on May 26, 1968 and by her only child, Jack Hamilton on January 22, 2000 at 61 years of age.

Surviving are a sister, Marjorie Moreland, of Denver, Colo.; stepdaughters, Sally Stein, of Cleveland, Ohio and Doris (Mike) Renison, of Chillicothe, Ohio; a stepson, Maurice (Susie) Dispennett, Zelienopie, Penn.; nieces and nephews, Dorothy Erving and Ann Keller, both of Bloomington, Ind., Marge (David) Brock, of Unionville, Ind., Boyd (JoAnn) Moreland, of Casper, Wyo., Carolyn (David) Brines, of Cadillac, Mich., Ira (Nancy) Marbry of Strongsville, Ohio, Lou Marbry (Bob, deceased) of Wilmington, NC and Richard (Marilyn) Boyd, of Lebanon, Ill.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, John and Lenora Boyd; a brother, Elmer (Kathryn) Boyd; a sister, Miriam (Ira) Marbry; and a four year old sister, Allena Boyd.

She was an active member of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Ohio and its Marian Rebecca circle and Christian Sharing Sunday School Class. Betty had served on the church's nominating committee.

In her earlier years, she was a member of the First Methodist Church in Robinson, Ill, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Junior Women's League in Robinson. She graduated from Robinson Township High School in 1934 and stayed on to help run the family business Boyd's Appliance Store, until her first marriage.Father: John A. BOYD
