Sioux City Journal (Sioux City, Iowa) 10 Dec 1946, p. 2. Mrs. Erna O. Strong, 35, 112 Kansas Street, died Sunday night in a hospital after a brief illness. She had resided here 15 years. She was born August 8, 1911, in Brownsville, Tex. Survivors include the widower, A.E. Strong, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Brode and Miss Betty H., and four sons, William, John, Jackie and Dennis, all of Sioux City. The O'Toole-Gunn funeral home has charge of arrangements.

Strong, 35, 112 Kansas street, who died in a hospital Sunday after a long illness, will be at 8 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface catholic church. Rev. Frederick Beck will officiate. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the O'Toole-Gunn funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
