Helmut F. Yauk 79, Indianapolis, passed away May 10, 2009. He was born July 17, 1929 in Saginaw, MI to Henry and Mary (Martin) Yauk. Helmut retired from the Center Township Trustee's Office and was a member of St John's United Church of Christ. He married Evelyn (Kocher) Yauk on January 5, 1968, and she survived. Helmut is also survived by his daughter, Gail Lewis (Randy); grandchildren, Eric and Beth Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Walter and Robert Yauk. Services will be held on Thursday, May 14 at 2 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Center at Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, with calling from Noon until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
