William Samuel Robbins was the son of Thomas Edward Robbins (1846–1864) and Susan Melinda Cozart (1845–1915); he was born March 3 1864 either in Caldwell or Watauga County of NC. [Thomas and "Melinda" were married in 1862 in Caldwell County. *Note: Thomas died after Battle of Chancellorsville in the War of Northern Aggression; Sam's death record lists Sam Day as father; research need on who he was*]

He married Mary Ellen Triplett (the 1900 Census says married in 1880).

In 1900 the couple are enumerated on the Census in Elk, Watauga County, North Carolina with their children:

He died at Stony Fork, Watauga Co NC on 28 Dec 1945 (Source: His Death Certificate; it lists his mother and Sam Day (I will check Sam Day later as that wasn't his father's name).

[Note: Death Certificate says buried Triplett Cemetery in Triplett, Wautaga County, NC —that cemetery is now known as Rhymer Cemetery].
