Charles F. Moser, a highly respected citizen of this community for a number of years, died at 8 o'clock Sunday night at the home of his brother, Alois Moser, near Colton, Washington, after a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at the Catholic church in Moscow at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning with Father Pecoul officiating.

Mr. Moser was born in Switzerland 58 years ago. He came to America 40 years ago and spent a quarter of a century in North Dakota and Minnesota before coming to the Palouse country 16 years ago. Here he established his home seven miles southwest of Moscow just over the line in Washington.

Mrs. Moser died in Seattle a year ago and was buried in Moscow City Cemetery. Her husband will be buried by her side. He was one of nine children and was the first of the nine to go.

Seven brothers and a sister survive him.

He is also survived by eight children, five sons and three daughters. The sons are Leo, Edward, George and Carl of Moscow, Aleck now living in Canada. The daughters are Mrs. Minnie Kueber of St. Maries, Idaho; Mrs. Margaret "Maggie" Becker of Colton, Washington, and Miss Winifred "Winnie" Moser of Moscow.
