Janice (Thomas) Belden Dietz, 58, of Anderson, died Jan. 17, 2008, at IU Medical Center, Indianapolis, following an extended illness.

She was born Jan. 26, 1949, in Muncie, the daughter of Sellie B. Thomas Jr. and Zelma Thomas.

She was a graduate of Highland High School, Class of 1968.

For three years, Janice owned the Pineapple Peddler in Pendleton. Prior to that, she was employed for six years as a credit reporter for Equifax.

She was a member of Pendleton Christian Church. She liked antiques and interior decorating. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Dietz of Anderson, whom she married in March 1997; her mother, Zelma Thomas of Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Amy Belden of Anderson; daughter, Jill; stepson, Brian (wife, Anissa) Dietz of Frankton; stepdaughter, Sabrina (husband, Greg) Eaton of Fishers; granddaughter, Mikayla Belden of Anderson; her brother, Tom (wife, Karen) Thomas of Glasgow, Ky.; her sister, Susi (husband, Tom) Seifferlein of Hungtington; three sisters-in-law, Judy Waldron of Chesterfield, Brenda (husband, Dave) Hiday and Norma (husband, Rick) Stanley, all of Anderson; brother-in-law, Fred (wife, Inatha) Dietz of Anderson; nephew, Todd (wife, Stephanie) Seifferlein; niece, Kris (husband, Shawn) Wall; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Sellie B. Thomas Jr.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, officiated by Pastor Jim Blackwell. Burial will take place at Bronnenberg Cemetery, Chesterfield.

Visitation hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
