Dale Willis Ziemer passed away on June 23, 2022, in Brookings, Oregon, but his heart always belonged to Crescent City where he had lived for 57 years of his life. He felt that being close to nature and living in the close-knit community of Crescent City was one of the greatest joys. It reminded him of the happiness he experienced growing up in the small farming town of Glenwood City, Wisconsin where he was born in 1930. Dale was proceeded in death by his wife Gloria Ziemer, son Gregory Ziemer and daughter Jill Ziemer. He is survived by his sister Ramona Longton, daughter Deanna Ziemer-McGinn, his daughter-in law Merchi Ziemer, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as his loving long-time companion, Jimmie Wade, who he adored. He will be missed and was dearly loved.
Dale Ziemer served in the Korean War and is and Army Veteran. He had a successful professional Bank Manager career in Crescent City beginning in 1965 and held positions at United California, Bank, 1st Interstate and Well Fargo Bank.
Dale was also a very active community member who loved to fish, golf, and watch sporting events. Dale also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like the fresh seafood cooked well at local restaurants, playing cards, or dining out with friends while watching the ocean views out the window. Many appreciated his sociable manner, his easy smile, and his playful sense of humor too.
He will be laid to rest in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Crescent City.
