Religious services for Mrs. Eva Michalik were held Saturday morning, December 22, at 10 a. m. in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick O'Farrell officiated at the Requiem Mass. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery in Blessing, Texas.
She died early Thursday morning, December 20, at the home for the aged in Hillje.
Born May 16, 1866, in Czechoslovakia, she came to the United States in 1906 and moved from Oregon to this area in 1928. She was married to Martin Michalik and to this union were born seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1941, three daughters, Betty Krupicka, Ann Ptacek and Agnes Bizoc and one son, Henry.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Matl of Houston and Mrs. Eva David of Cameron, Texas and one son, John Michalik of Palacios and many grandchildren.
