Henry Washington (1727/8-c65) lived in Middlesex County, Va. He married (1) in 1749, Anne Thacker (1728-ante1759), daughter of Col. Edwin and Elizabeth Thacker, of Middlesex County. Their five children were John (1750); Elizabeth (c1754-ante1783) who married in 1771, Captain John Perrin (1749-91); Thacker (1755-98); and Anne Washington (c1758-77). Henry Washington married (2) in 1759, Charlotte Foushee (-1791).


Henry Washington's father was Major John Washington IV (1692-1746), elder son of Captain Lawrence (c1659-98) and Mildred Warner Washington (1671-1701), who was born at Bridges Creek, Westmoreland County, Va. He lived at Highgate, Gloucester County, Va. on a plantation of about 2,000 acres. He married in 1716, Catherine Whiting (1694-1743/4), daughter of Col. Henry and Elizabeth Whiting, of Gloucester County. Her father was a member of the King's Council in 1691, treasurer of the colony, 1692-93, high sheriff, 1723-39, and a justice in 1742. Their eight children were Elizabeth (1717-36/7)(unm), John (1718-d.yg), Mildred (1720/1-85), Warner (1722-90), Catherine (1724/5-1749/50), Henry (1727/8-c65), Matthew (1732-d.yg), and Hannah Washington (1734/5-ante1763).
